1.       General Conditions of Booking

1.1.   So that we can make this booking online you will need to agree to give us some data about yourself. We will need the following from you:

1.1.1.your name (to record your purchase)

1.1.2.your email address (to send you confirmation and a receipt)

1.1.3.a phone number (to contact you in case we need to)

1.1.4.credit/debit card details (to take a payment)

1.2.   All are required by us to make your booking.

1.3.   Cancelled bookings cannot be refunded. See 7 for details.

2.       Data Collection and Storage

2.1.   Your name and email will be stored in an encrypted form and removed from our records at the end of our season (usually November 1). This data is not passed onto any other party.

3.       Payment

3.1.   We also need credit/debit card details to pay for the booking. Your card details are in an encrypted form, we do not store this information on our system.

4.       General Information

4.1.   Start Times and Walk Duration

4.1.1.Our walks start at various times and you will be informed in the walk description and on your booking confirmation of the date, time and location.

4.1.2.You will be informed of how long the walk will take but if during the walk it is expected to finish later than planned our guide will let you know.

4.1.3.It is your responsibility to ensure you have paid adequate parking charges to cover your walk. The King’s Lynn Town Guides will not be responsible for any additional parking charges or penalties should the walk last longer than advertised.

4.2.   Health and Safety

4.2.1.Your health and safety is important to us and we want you to have a safe and enjoyable experience.

4.2.2.King’s Lynn is an old town, with narrow streets, uneven surfaces, areas where we are in close contact with vehicles, by a quayside on the river and so there are places where additional safety precautions which need to be taken by you.

4.2.3.Your guide will inform you about potential safety hazards at the start of the walk and will point out potential hazards during it.

4.2.4.If you have any concerns, our Guide will be happy to discuss these with you and make adjustments where practical.

4.2.5.If you have children with you, you are responsible for their conduct and to keep them safe throughout the walk.

4.3.   Dogs on Walks

4.3.1. Dogs are welcome on our walks when accompanied by their well-behaved owners. Owners are expected to keep dogs under control at all times and avoid causing any distress to other guests.

4.3.2. There may be certain (indoor) parts of the tour that are inaccessible to dogs, in which case the guide will let you know and ask for the dog to be kept outside.

5.       Please read the following Health and Safety messages.

5.1.   When crossing a road each person is responsible for his/her own safety and for any accompanying children. 

5.2.   Look out for uneven, cracked or broken paving slabs. These can trip you up!

5.3.   Keep children well away from the kerb-side.

5.4.   If it has been raining some surfaces are slippery and there are places with trip hazards.

5.5.   Watch out for uneven steps, and steps where the risers are raised above the level of the step.

5.6.   Where there is a banister, please use it.

5.7.   Watch out for low doorways, signs and awnings.

6.       Dress

6.1.   Please dress appropriately. The walk will still go ahead in wet and cold weather. As the walk is likely to last two hours, we do recommend you wear sturdy, comfortable footwear.

7.       Cancellation policy

7.1.   Once you have made a booking, no refund will be provided for cancellations or if you are unable to meet our guide on time at the confirmed start time of the walk. We have the facility for you to reschedule the walk provided this is done before the walk date via our on-line booking system.
